Criminals
The use of illustration within the Criminal Justice System is declining. Courtroom drawings and forensic sketches are now being replaced by photography, which is largely seen as a more objective and truthful medium. This project explores illustration's capacity to portray the personal and subjective side of crime. The images are screen-printed and drawn directly onto perspex sheets, which were then suspended from an 8 ft frame.
